The horror genre has a tremendous range, reinventing itself in different forms for different decades and aud iences. It's tricky work disentangling classic horror from more modern, of ten gory developments in the genre. Take a peek at some key moments in the evolution of the horror genre with Kelly Kirshtner's Horror Classic, a six week mini series featuring a selection of both classic and modern films th at tend towards the scary rather than the gruesome. Each screening will be introduced and discussed by Professor Kelly Kirshtner of UWM's Film Departm ent.

"Documented" chro nicles his journey to America from the Philippines as a child; his journey through America as an immigration reform activist/provocateur; and his jo urney inward as he re-connects with his mother, whom he hasn't seen in 20 years
Jose Antonio Vargas will be speaking at UWM on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7pm in the Union Wisconsin Room as a part of the Distinguished L ecture Series.
